JARED has been guiding since 2007 when he graduated from Indiana University in the States. He started out as a SANDEMANs NEW Berlin tour guide, but Munich was calling. In the States, he studied anthropology and neuroscience, in Munich he studies neuro-cognitive psychology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, which means he has little outlet for his anthropological skills other than giving wonderful tours. He likes to teach, entertain, and most importantly proctor the epic battle that has become known as New Munich's BEER CHALLENGE!

KEVIN - Bavarian prince - was born in Houston, Texas, and ever since his first German class in high school has always wanted to visit this great country. He first arrived in Munich in March of 2008 on a Euro trip, and found it to be his favorite of all the German cities. After spending three weeks back home, he hopped a plane and has been living here ever since. He hopes that by doing this job, he can immerse himself in the culture and eventually become fluent in German.

KRISTIN grew up on Montreal, Canada and like all Canadian children was raised in a Bavarian dance group. Living a life walking around town in Dirndls and having an odd attraction to men in Lederhosen, Munich was obviously the place for her to end up. After finishing a degree in psychology and almost completing applications for grad school, she instead packed her backpack and came to Oktoberfest in 2008. After over half a year of traveling in Europe, the call of Munich became too strong and here she is, showing you around one of her favorite cities in the world.

KAI was born and raised in the beautiful and mysterious country of the dragon—China. After graduating with a B.A in Business, he became an English teacher. He has worked at various language schools as well as international companies like Ford, Siemens and LG. He has always had a great interest in history and was immediately attracted by the city of Munich when he first arrived last year. Educating and entertaining people on tours is just what he enjoys doing—it’s almost same as being a teacher!

STACEY Born and bred in Montreal, Canada, Stacey initially planned to live and work in London. However, after stumbling upon Munich during a Euro trip in July 2008 and experiencing its vast history, culture and, of course, beer, she realized where her heart truly lay. One year later, she packed her bags and eagerly returned to Munich where she is now making excellent use of her history degree by showing you around the city she loves so much.

LISA spent her growing-up years in Connecticut, but got out of there as soon as possible. She spent several years roaming around, from New Orleans to Denver, from the California Coast to Costa Rica before she was drawn to the sweet sunny American South-- specifically Nashville, Tennessee. It was there that she picked up a love for clawhammer banjo and also put herself into massive amounts of debt acquiring an M.A. in English. Then, after trailing the ghost of Rilke across Europe one winter, she fell in love with Munich and decided to stay. She has developed a passion for the culture and history, and spends her days learning German, playing the banjo, and telling everyone what a great city Munich is.

SONJA grew up in Vero Beach, Florida, and moved to Germany over four years ago to study stories. She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Comparative Literature at the Ludwig-Maxmilians-Universität, where she hopes to eventually get her Ph.D. as well. As the daughter of a German father and a Norwegian mother, she claims to be an “American by default.” History and literature are her two main passions in life, but beer and cheese are close runners up.

TRAVIS was conceived back in the great winter of ‘79 and entered the world as a human being in Melbourne, Australia. He spent his first few years perfecting the art of speech and movement and now finds himself on the other side of the world putting those skills to good use showing people around this beautiful city. Back home, he worked as a 3D animator in the video games industry but is now taking a well-earned break to see some of the world and learn this crazy little language they call German

CLAUDIA is a born and bread Austrian and came to Bavaria via a short-9-year diversion through London. Wishing to be closer to her beloved Alps, Claudia moved to Munich in 2006 from which point onwards she immersed into the Bavarian culture and fell in love with the multicultural atmosphere that goes hand in hand with the intimate feel of this "big village" - as she likes to refer to her new home town. Her love with the city induced her to look deeper and in more detail into its history and stories to tell which she loves sharing with everyone who visits here and who is eager to know and feel more of what Munich has to offer.

MICHEÁL left Ireland to get away from the rain. He came back to the city he fell in love with when he first visited in October 2007 for a certain “Beer Brewer’s Convention”. Micheál graduated from University in Ireland with a Bachelor in Aeronautical Engineering. He hopes to someday qualify as an airline pilot but in the meantime he is showing you the sights of his adopted home of Munich and hoping to improve his German at the same time

DONAGH is thoroughly Irish and was born and raised in Dublin. He is currently in Bavaria to learn German, escape the recession and to fully embrace the local lederhosen-wearing culture. Having studied law, he has gained both an infectious love of stories and the ability to sound convincing when talking about most things; he puts these to good use astounding you with the sights and wonders of his adopted city, Munich.

Marcin The Englishman is currently taking a few years break from his regular job - touring the world for the last 12 years as a professional musician. Along his many travels he discovered Munich whilst on a European tour, and fell in love with its many breweries, beer halls and beer gardens!

Chris Taine Hailing from the nether-regions of the South Pacific - Aotearoa (better known as New Zealand) Chris arrived in Munich following a 4 year "layover" in the Coast Mountains of Canada. He was kidnapped from his snowy mountain town by a Bavarian princess in a Dirndl, and lured to Munich by the promise of good times and delicious beer. Chris now spends his days improving his German, and putting his history and communications degrees to good use leading tours of his new favourite city.

MATTHIAS, in Bayern geboren, wohnt seitdem er 6 Monate alt ist in München. Die bajuwarische Lebensfreude (libertas bavariae) hat er bereits mit der Muttermilch aufgesogen, nun teilt er sie gerne mit Preußen und anderen Ausländern. Er beschäftigt sich in seinem Physikstudium zwar hauptsächlich mit lebloser Materie, redet aber trotzdem - oder gerade deswegen - gerne und viel. Auf seiner Stadtführung wird er zeigen, dass es sich südlich des Weißwurschtäquators am besten leben lässt und warum München die wahre Hauptstadt Deutschlands ist.

RUTH, die sich ihre Wohnung mit dem Berti dem Bären teilt, ist in Bayern
aufgewachsen und studiert jetzt in München an der LMU. Wenn sie nicht gerade
zum Ausgleich Theater spielt oder Geschichten schreibt, reist sie durch die
Welt. Städte sind ihr bevorzugtes Ziel. Aber nirgends ist's so schön wie
daheim. Deshalb hat sie sich in den Kopf gesetzt sovielen Leuten wie möglich

Achim, mäanderte nach ausgedehntem Studium durch die deutsche Dienstleistungsgeographie und arbeitete als Gastrojournalist, Boxtrainer, Veranstaltungstechniker und in der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit eines großen Unternehmens. Für Hardcore-Münchner gerade noch ein Not- und Aushilfsbayer (ca. 50 m südlich der Mainlinie aufgewachsen), nach eigenem Verständnis natürlich Unterfranke – Dialektproben nur auf Anfrage. Sitzt fleißig am Schreibtisch und schreibt Reisebücher, wenn er nicht grade dringend ins Kaffeehaus, in einen Biergarten oder an die Isar muss. Oder eben neugierige Besucher Münchens zu den lauten und leisen Sehenswürdigkeiten seiner Stadt führt. Nicht eben erstaunlich kurze Veröffentlichungsliste.

LU, Oriunda de Santiago de Chile esta chica cambió los Andes chilenos por los Alpes bávaros. Fue en el año 2003 cuando los estudios y el amor la trajeron a Munich encontrando aquí su segundo hogar. XAVI nacido en Montblanc, provincia de Tarragona (España), estudió filología inglesa y trabajó como profesor de inglés durante tres años en academias. Decidido a ampliar sus horizontes, aprender un nuevo idioma y residir en su país favorito (en el curiosamente no se habla inglés) hizo las maletas y lo dejo todo para pasar unos años en Baviera. En sus vacaciones de verano, Múnich se habia convertido ya en un destino recurrente y poco a poco esta ciudad se fue apoderando de su alma, llegando a plantearse permanecer en ella siempre si la fortuna le sonrie.

Rut Esta intrepida fotografa madrileña, despues de estar dos años en
Londres decidio hacer de su hobby su profesion y se vino a Munich a
terminar sus estudios de fotografia, donde quedo fascinada por los
pintorescos monumentos y edificios que dan belleza a la ciudad.
Asi decidio quedarse para poder mostrar a la mayor cantidad de
turistas, no solo la historia de Munich si no tambien hacerles
apreciar un punto de vista diferente de este lugar.

Ana Gonzalez Nacida en Madrid pero críada entre La Coruña y Córdoba. Estudió Filología Inglesa y trabajó como profesora de inglés y español para extranjeros varios años en diferentes academias.
